GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A record number of runners are taking part in the family events at the 15th annual Cellcom Green Bay Marathon.
The full marathon starts at 7 a.m. with nearly 2,000 runners registered, which is at 94 percent capacity. The half-marathon begins at 8 a.m. and is sold out.
For this week's events, nearly 14,000 runners registered to take part.
The Cellcom 5k had 4,663 finishers this year, which was a record. Race orgainizers says half of the field were youth entries.
The WPS Kids’ Power Run had 1,025 registrants, which is also a new record. Last year the event had just over 817 runners.
