RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - A Burlington man is free on bond, after he was accused of secretly videotaping a female roommate in her bedroom.

44-year-old James Straube appeared in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday on a felony charge of stalking, four felony counts of capturing nude images, and a misdemeanor of using a surveillance device to invade privacy.

The victim told WISN-TV in Milwaukee that she and Straube were going through divorces at the same time, and they moved in together to save money.

The woman said the defendant started making advances -- and soon after she rejected them, the woman said he found hidden camera on a rod while she was changing curtains as part of a home renovation project. The woman said wanted to prevent others from being victimized like this.

After his court appearance, Straube posted a $2,500 bond. He's due back in court May 22nd for a preliminary hearing.
