APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Appleton police are looking into a crash involving a stolen SUV and a house.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of North Elinor Street around 1 p.m. Sunday. They arrived to find the vehicle hit the house there and no one who was inside the 2010 Nissan Murano was on the scene.

Authorities called the owner of the SUV, who was not aware that the vehicle was missing. It was unlocked and the keys were inside the last time they checked it, around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The SUV was stolen from the northwestern part of Appleton.

Police say anyone with information should call Officer Rohm at (920) 832-5500. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text message to 274637 with the keyword APDTIPS at the beginning of the message.
