MINNEAPOLIS (WTAQ) - The Minnesota Vikings sign another high-profile Packer by offering wide receiver Greg Jennings a five-year deal.
Jennings accepted Friday. Minnesota will count on him to replace Percy Harvin, who was traded to Denver.
Jennings is the latest in a long line of Packers to head across the boarder, including Darren Sharper, kicker Ryan Longwell and Brett Favre.
Jennings had injury problems last season, playing only half of the games due to a torn lower abdominal muscle.
The Packers also reached agreement with linebacker A.J. Hawk on a contract modification – essentially a pay cut. Green Bay was able to knock down his salary cap number by a significant amount. Insiders say it wasn’t a take it or get cut presentation from the team.
Tight end Tom Crabtree signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday. And, the team announced it has signed Robert Francois to a one-year deal.
