My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James has just announced more North American tour dates in support of his upcoming debut solo album, Regions of Light and Sound of God , due in stores on February 5. That trek kicks off on April 17 at the Brown Theatre in Louisville, KY, and will make stops in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas and Los Angeles, among other cities.  

“I have put together a special band of some of my oldest pals to help bring this album to life on the road,” James said in a statement. “We are very excited about it and can’t wait to bring it to light! See ya out on the open road!” 

Pre-sale tickets for all the dates are available on Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET through MMJ’s official fan club, Roll Call . Remaining tickets will be available to the general public this weekend.
