Korn fans got some good news on Thursday when the band revealed that they'll be performing with former guitarist Brian "Head" Welch at the upcoming Rock on the Range festival. Welch says that the invitation to join the band at the event took him by surprise.
“It's a bit surreal because I didn't expect it to happen,” he tells ARTISTDirect . “We have no hate for each other like some of these other bands that haven't talked in years. When they hit me up about the shows this year, to me, it was time.”
In addition to performing with Korn at Rock on the Range, which takes place May 17-19 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, Welch will perform two full concerts with the guys later this year in Germany. Those shows will take place at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals on June 7-9, in the towns of Nürburgring and Nürnberg, respectively.
