BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) - A public hearing is set for Wednesday night on a proposed Costco store in the Village of Bellevue.
The hearing before the Bellevue Village Board centers on rezoning the land from agricultural to commercial. Costco wants to build their location on Monroe Road (County GV), just north of Highway 172.
Interim village administrator Dan Elsass says it is the first of many reviews the village will have for the project.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the village hall, 3100 Eaton Rd.
The plans include the construction of an approximately 150,000 square foot store and a fueling station. The new store will feature a tire center, indoor food court and bakery.
This will be the 5th Costco Store in Wisconsin and the first location in Northeast Wisconsin. It is anticipated that the new store will add approximately 200 full and part-time jobs. The store could open later this year.
