MOUNT PLEASANT, WI (WTAQ) - A 36 year old Mount Pleasant man is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, arson and mutilating a corpse in connection with his wife’s death last December.
Joseph Guerrero is accused of strangling the woman, then setting fire to the house where she was found dead Christmas Day.
Guerrero reportedly told police he got into an argument with 21 year old Bianca Vite three days before Christmas and she scratched him. He told investigators he tried to revive her after putting his hands around her neck.
The suspect says he wanted to die and tried to set himself on fire, but accidentally started the house burning. That couple was just married last July.
