MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Nekoosa man is facing federal charges after lying to the FBI.
Federal prosecutors say 23-year-old Travis Billman sent a message to the FBI saying someone he knows was going to steal nuclear secrets from the Navy and sell the information online. The feds say Billman knew the tip was false.
The charges were brought against Billman by the FBI. If convicted, he'll face a maximum of 5 years in prison.
