Event producers for the U.K.’s Download Festival have announced that Slipknot will be one of the headliners at next year’s event. The band joins the lineup for the 11th edition of the festival, which includes previously announced headliners Iron Maiden and Rammstein .
"We are extremely honored to have been asked once again to headline the Download Festival,” percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan said in a statement. “It’s always good to have the church of the Knot, the altar of the Knot, giving the sermon of the Knot to the congregation of the Knot, the culture of the Knot. This summer cannot come soon enough. Partake in the imagination or don’t bitch.”
The three-day Download Festival runs June 14-16 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England.
