Coldplay will release a new live CD/DVD package this fall that'll help fans re-live all the excitement of the band's recent tour in support of their 2011 album, Mylo Xyloto . Due out November 20, Live 2012 is Coldplay's first concert CD/DVD release in nine years. It features performances from their shows at Paris's Stade de France, Montreal's Bell Centre, and last year's headlining performance at the Glastonbury Festival.
"The Mylo Xyloto tour has been the most fun we've ever had as a band,” says frontman Chris Martin in a statement. “It's felt very uplifting right from the start; partly because we are proud of the music, the LED wristbands, the pyrotechnics, the lasers and all of that stuff, but mainly because of the amazing audiences that we've been playing for. We wanted to try to bottle the incredible feeling that they give us, and hence our concert film."
You’ll be able to check out the concert film a few days before it arrives in stores. Live 2012 will premiere on EPIX and online at EpixHD.com on November 17. You can sign up for a free trial of EPIX to watch the show.
