UNDATED (WSAU) D-N-R officials in Wisconsin and Michigan will hold a public meeting on Wednesday night, to get ideas about a new recreation area along the border of those two states. The Menominee River State Recreation Area included about 6,500 acres in Marinette County Wisconsin, and 3,700 acres in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It goes along the state line from Niagara in northeast Wisconsin to Quiver Falls at Faithorn Michigan.
Wednesday night’s meeting will be held in Norway Michigan. Officials want to get input on how best manage the new nature area.
