NORTH FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - It was a night of drinking for three underage men until they were arrested early this morning in North Fond du Lac after fleeing officers during a traffic stop.

Police stopped a truck around 2:30 a.m. Monday that was driving erratically.  A flaming object was also seen falling from the truck bed in the 300 block of Winnebago Street.

After the stop, the driver and two passengers took off running.

20-year-old Thomas Dutton and 17-year-old Forrest Ahner jumped out, ran across a field and swam across a retention pond.   They were tracked down to a parking lot after following wet foot prints. The driver, 19-year-old Dylan Langoff was later found hiding under garbage in a dumpster.

Turns out, the truck is suspected to be involved in a hit and run crash in Fond du Lac earlier in the night.
