GREEN VALLEY, WI (WTAQ) - A motorcycle crash in Shawano County Saturday kills a man from Gillett.

Authorities say 48-year-old Scott Courchaine died in the crash that happened on County Highway E and Plier Road in the Town of Green Valley just after 7 p.m.

Officials say alcohol may be a factor and he wasn't wearing a helmet.

Courchaine was found lying in the ditch and not moving when rescue crews arrived. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Officials say it appears Courchaine crossed the center line, hit the gravel edge and tried to get back onto the road near a curve.
