Soundgarden has revealed the artwork and a trailer for their upcoming studio album, King Animal .

There's a definite winter theme in play, from the look of things.  The cover, which the band posted on their Facebook page , features a carefully-arranged mound of bleached animal skulls, set against a snow-covered landscape of bare trees beneath an iridescent sky. 

The minute-twenty-five trailer echoes the King Animal album cover.  Scored to music from the album, it features camera pans of the same snowy landscape, with images of Chris Cornell and the band shimmering into and out of sight.  The trailer resolves itself into the King Animal cover.

The title of the song that plays beneath the trailer isn't known.  Last month, Soundgarden posted a 37-second clip of another track, titled "Worse Dreams," that featured footage of the band working in the studio and performing live.

King Animal , Soundgarden's first new studio album since 1996's Down on the Upside , arrives November 13.
