Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will open the doors to his 1930s Chinese tea house, Madame ZuZu’s, in Chicago on Thursday. Patrons will be able to choose from a rotating menu of teas from across the globe, as well as light vegan pastries.
“I’m a tea guy and living in Highland Park since 2003, I’ve always wanted to open a salon like this for everyone to enjoy,” said Corgan in a statement. “This is a place with no age boundaries. We hope to attract everyone from young students to seniors. With a blend of music, photo galleries, art displays and speakers, I think Madame ZuZu’s offers something for everyone.”
Madame ZuZu’s, located at 582 Roger Williams Avenue in Chicago's upscale Highland Park neighborhood, will open for business at 8:00 a.m CT. For the store’s grand opening, Corgan will be offering free tea and will also be on hand to perform several acoustic sessions throughout the day, starting at 11 a.m. Visit MadameZuZus.com for more information.
