MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - A 72-year-old Fond du Lac man has been sentenced to five years in a federal prison, for molesting a young girl in Belize.

Federal Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of Milwaukee handed down the sentence against Roland Flath.

He pleaded guilty in May to committing illicit sexual conduct in a foreign country.

Prosecutors said Flath took naked pictures of the girl, and he had sexually assaulted her for about four years since she was 9-or-10. She was 14 when she went to authorities.

The girl said Plath paid her for the sex – and she used the cash to buy food for her mother.
