While Queensrÿche has moved on with their new lead singer, Crimson Glory frontman Todd La Torre , former frontman Geoff Tate has revealed the lineup for what he calls “the new Queensrÿche.”
According to a message posted on the band’s website, the new lineup features ex- Ozzy Osbourne bassist Rudy Sarzo , Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer and ex- Megadeth guitarist Glen Drover . The group also includes ex-Queensrÿche guitarist Kelly Gray and Queensrÿche’s touring keyboardist, Randy Gane .
“Today is a new day and I am thrilled to announce the new Queensrÿche,” wrote Tate. “Together we shall embark on a new musical journey that will be a greater extension of where Queensrÿche has ever been. I look forward to this new life and I hope to see you on tour as all of us come together and begin this new era.”
The official name of this new group is in question as Tate is engaged in an ongoing lawsuit with Queensrÿche drummer Scott Rockenfield , bassist Eddie Jackson and guitarist Michael Wilton over the use of the Queensrÿche name.
Tate’s new Queensrÿche is set to hit the high seas for the fourth annual ShipRocked cruise on November 27.
