GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) - More than two dozen people were arrested earlier this week following a prostitution sting in the Fox Valley.
Grand Chute police detective Scott Calloway says 22 men and three women were involved. But only one woman was charged criminally, while the rest were issued citations.
Calloway says a few drug arrests were made as well, but they involved minor charges. He adds there is also second, ongoing investigation related to drugs.
This sting operation is the latest in Grand Chute's efforts to stop prostitution. The city passed an escort ordinance in April 2011 after they received a number of complaints about prostitution.
Calloway said they had handled some prostitution cases prior to that, but the ordinance is what prompted the sting operations.
