OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) - An Oconto County man will stand trial on charges he set several fires.

28-year-old Drew Christensen of Suring waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court Tuesday. Christensen also pled not guilty.

According to investigators, Christensen admitted to starting the fires. He's facing two counts of arson, but officials are still unsure if he was involved in any other blazes.

There are currently about 40 unsolved fire cases in the area. Authorities still are not sure what Christensen's motive was.

Damages from the fires allegedly set by Christensen is more than $1 million. He's due back in court December 10.
