The Killers have been added to the roster of performers for the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards. They join the star-studded list of previously-announced performers, which includes Muse , No Doubt and fun. The Killers scored only one nomination for this year's EMAs: they'll be competing against Coldplay , Green Day , Linkin Park and Muse for Best Rock.

"Roses are red, violets are blue, The Killers are coming to Frankfurt to play the MTV EMA," said the band in a joint statement.

This year's event takes place in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11 and will be hosted by Heidi Klum . The show will air live at 9 p.m. Central European Time in most cities -- that's two in the morning, U.S. Eastern Time -- though some cities will air it on tape delay.
