Soundgarden keeps on giving us tastes of their first studio album in more than 15 years, King Animal .  The band has released a two-minute video that features a snippet of the new track, “ Bones of Birds ,” along with an interview with frontman Chris Cornell and drummer Matt Cameron .

In the clip, Cornell says “Bones of Birds” is “a little dark” and was inspired by being a parent and dealing with the loss of his child’s innocence.  “When [children]…learn about the real world, it’s never a good thing,” explains the singer.  “It’s always because…of loss, something bad happens, something they weren’t expecting.  I guess it's the stress that I feel about not wanting them to have to go through those things, but obviously knowing it's gonna happen."

King Animal will arrive in stores on November 13.
