Blink-182 ’s Travis Barker thinks he’s being “profiled” as a gang member by the Los Angeles Police Department. Barker’s rep tells TMZ that the LAPD pulled over the tattoo-covered drummer on Wednesday for not having a front license plate on his Chevy and "then accused him of having drugs and weapons in the car” because of his appearance. Authorities then requested to search Barker’s car. Barker obliged, getting off with a “fix-it ticket.”
Barker’s rep noted that the drummer is upset because he says it's the second time he's been pulled over for a routine traffic violation and accused of being a gang member. The same “profiling” incident supposedly occurred last year after Barker was stopped for having no plates and tinted windows. Barker was issued a fix-it ticket for that offense as well.
The LAPD refused to comment to TMZ about the incident, but said that the drummer is “welcome to come in to any station to sit down and talk about the situation.”
