Mumford & Sons ’ Babel continues to dominate the Billboard 200 albums chart for the third week in a row, selling 96,000 copies this week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Babel ’s success makes it the second-longest running #1 indie album in SoundScan history. Walt Disney Records' The Lion King soundtrack currently holds the record for spending 10 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the chart, in 1994 and 1995.  

KISS scored big on the tally this week as well. The band’s 20th studio album, Monster , grabbed the #3 slot, selling 56,000 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen SoundScan. While Monster marks the group’s 25th album to make the top 40 of the Billboard 200 albums chart, it couldn’t match the initial success of the band's previous release. 2009's Sonic Boom scored 108,000 copies sold its first week out and claimed the #2 spot on the chart.

Also making its way into the top 10 this week is the first half of Coheed and Cambria ’s double album, The Afterman . The Afterman: Ascension claimed the #5 spot on the chart, selling 49,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In addition, All Time Low ’s fifth studio album, Don't Panic , snagged the #6 spot, racking up 48,000 copies sold.

Meanwhile, Muse ’s The 2nd Law falls from #2 to #10 this week, selling 31,000 copies.
