GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Demolition starts Monday on the building which was the home for The Stein, a popular downtown Green Bay restaurant.

The family-owned business opened at 126 South Adams Street in 1961. It closed for the final time in 2008.

The owner says the space will be used for a downtown parking lot.

The Stein was popular because it was located across the street from the Brown County Courthouse.

It was famous for its Reuben sandwiches.
