Muse has announced the first batch of North American tour dates in support of their new album, The 2nd Law . 

Only a handful of shows are included in this first announcement.  As it stands now, the band will kick things off February 3 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; dates are scheduled through April 26 in Quebec City.   Other cities in the lineup include Detroit, New York City and East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Tickets go on sale October 12 or 13, depending on the city.

Many more live dates will be announced in the coming weeks but here's what the schedule looks like so far:
