FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - The Fond du Lac County Clerk of Courts office is getting flooded with letters asking for leniency in the sentencing of a Campbellsport teen convicted in a fatal crash.
Over 150 letters have been filed, most of them in support of Carly Ottery.
Winnebago County District Attorney Christian Gossett, who's acting as special prosecutor in the case, says he will recommend Ottery get a sentence of 5 years of probation with no jail time.
Ottery drove an SUV full of friends back on February 4th, when she lost control on a rural road in Campbellsport. The crash killed teenagers Sabrina Stahl, Caitlin Scannel and Katie Berg.
Several others were injured.
