EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (WTAQ) - The bye week did wonders for the defending Super Bowl champions, as the New York Giants dismantled the Green Bay Packers 38-10 in an NFC title game re-match Sunday night at Met Life Stadium.

Both teams traded touchdowns early in the 1st quarter, but that's when the Giants (7-4) kicked it into a higher gear as they dominated both lines of scrimmage and forced Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to turn the ball over twice. Rodgers was also sacked 5 times.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning finished 16-of-30 for 249 yards and 3 TD's.

The loss snapped the Packers five-game winning streak, while the Giants ended a two-game slide.
