GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A special meeting of the Green Bay City Council will take place Tuesday to discuss the lawsuit involving a west side waste-to-energy facility.
The suit was filed last week by the Oneida Seven Generations Corporation over the council's move to strip a conditional use permit for the plant.
An agenda published Wednesday shows that the meeting is at the request of Mayor Jim Schmitt and the city attorney's office to discuss the legal actions.
The city council approved a conditional use permit for the facility on Hurlbut Street on March, 2011. It voted to revoke the permit October 16.
The Oneida Seven Generations Corp. filed two writs against the city in circuit court on November 14. No court hearings have been scheduled yet.
