Over the weekend, 3 Doors Down kicked off their North American co-headlining tour with Daughtry . Frontman Brad Arnold says that he’s thrilled that the two bands have finally been able to hit the road together.
“We’ve been trying to make that tour happen for a long time,” Arnold tells ABC News Radio. “I’m excited always to go out on tour, but I’m really excited for this one. Probably more so than any I’ve been on in a little while because I think it’s so much camaraderie between the bands and so much interaction with the bands on stage from night to night. It’ll be something different every night.”
Arnold notes that he’s also looking forward to releasing the band’s Greatest Hits album, which arrives in stores on Monday. The singer says that coming up with the track list for the compilation, which features nine hits along with brand-new songs "One Light," "There's a Life" and "Goodbyes," proved to be a difficult task.
“That was kind of a hard process,” he explains. “You put your obvious hits on there and at the same time we want to put some new songs on there where you have something to promote the record with but, in writing those songs we really felt like we needed to make songs that stood up alongside some of the biggest songs we’ve ever done.”
