GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The Brown County Board of Health is taking action on addressing some Glenmore residents’ concerns on adverse health effects from nearby wind turbines.
It’s called wind turbine syndrome and studies are still inconclusive.
The board is writing a letter to the state Public Service Commission requesting the state fund a study on low frequency noise that residents say could be the reason for their health issues.
Around 50 residents provided affidavits to the board.
Board chair Audrey Murphy says the state controls siting of wind turbines and that includes protecting the health of Wisconsinites.
