If you're a Soundgarden fan in the New York area, here's you chance to hear some great music and help a great cause.  Frontman Chris Cornell will perform a one-off acoustic concert on Monday night, November 12, at the Bowery Ballroom, with all proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy relief via the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City .

Cornell and Soundgarden were scheduled to be in New York City anyway, promoting their new CD, King Animal , which goes on sale Tuesday.

Tickets for the acoustic benefit show go on sale Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster.  Doors open for the show Monday night at 8:30 ET.  For more details, visit ChrisCornell.com .
