MENOMONIE, WI (WSAU) - University of Wisconsin-Stout officials are cleaning up after an unwelcome visitor. An eight-point buck deer jumped through a window of the college’s vocational rehabilitation building, leaving a trail of blood and damage totalling over $5,500. The deer ran down a hallway before escaping through a set of automatic entrance doors. People tried to track the deer, but lost the blood trail. One staff member received a bruise getting away from the animal. Nobody else was injured. Observers say the deer was being chased by a dog when it broke through the window.
