Bjork, Hole, PJ Harvey & Fiona Apple Make "Rolling Stone" List of 50 Greatest "Women Who Rock" Albums

Rolling Stone , famous for its lists of everything from the greatest guitarists of all time to the greatest songs of all time, has now decided to honor the great women of rock 'n roll.  The magazine has put together a list of the 50 Greatest "Women Who Rock" albums of all time , and modern rockers from PJ Harvey to Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Hole to Fiona Apple to Bjork all make the list.

Classic female-led punk and new wave albums made a strong showing in Rolling Stone 's top 10, with Patti Smith 's Horses coming it at #5, Blondie 's Parallel Lines at #8 and Bikini Kill 's singles collection coming in at #10.

Further down the list, Sleater-Kinney 's The Hot Rock made #17 while The Breeders came in at #49 with Last Splash .

Bjork comes in at #38 with Post, Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs show up at #28 with It's a Blitz and Hole makes the list at #24 with Live Through This .  Fiona Apple clocks in at #39 for Extraordinary Machine , while PJ Harvey sits at #31 with Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea

In case you're interested, Rolling Stone's #1 "Women Who Rock" album is Aretha Franklin 's I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You.
