As Blur reunites to perform at the BRIT Awards later this month, fans are wondering if the band will make a new album anytime soon. In a recent interview with the UK’s Daily Record , guitarist Graham Coxon confirmed that the band will indeed be recording new material.
“We haven’t planned the rehearsals yet, but there will definitely be another Blur album,” revealed Coxon. “We’re always going to meet up and want to play things. We do like recording. Eventually, even if things aren’t around the corner, Blur will do more recordings together. We all love each other and still like making music so that’s not a bad start.”
In addition to performing at the BRIT Awards, Blur will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music award during the event at the O2 Arena on February 21. Previous winners of the Outstanding Contribution to Music award include U2 , Oasis , The Who , and Queen .
