Heavy metal supergroup Adrenaline Mob has a new bassist. On Wednesday, the band announced that Disturbed bassist John Moyer has officially joined the group. Moyer replaces original bassist Paul DiLeo who left the band last month due to a scheduling conflict with his other band, Fozzy . Moyer joins the current lineup of Symphony X frontman Russell Allen , Ex- Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and guitarist Mike Orlando .
“Mike Portnoy called me about auditioning for his new band Adrenaline Mob,” said Moyer in a statement. “He had heard through the grapevine that I was looking to stay busy while Disturbed is on hiatus. After jamming with Russ, Mike Orlando, and Portnoy, the chemistry as musicians was undeniable. I am super stoked about joining 'The Family' and I can't wait to hit the road with these guys and see what kind of musical mayhem we can create!"
Moyer is set to make his live debut with Adrenaline Mob on March 12 -- the day before the band’s debut album Omertá is released -- at Hiro Ballroom in New York City.
