SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is accused of choking his live-in girlfriend because she refused to marry his Mexican friend so he could get a green card.  Charges of strangulation and suffocation were filed against 30-year-old Jerry Hilbelink in Sheboygan County Monday. The Mexican friend was offering to pay the couple $5,000.Hilbelink was apparently drunk Saturday when he bought it up, saying they would not have to live together or have sex. Hilbelink has a criminal history; he was convicted of felony child abuse in 2008.
