KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Charges are expected in the case of Kalamazoo's eighth homicide of 2010.
A 33-year-old Kalamazoo man was expected to be charged Tuesday with involuntary manslaughter. Police believe he caused the death of 52-year-old Clifford Jones Saturday night.
Witnesses told investigators Jones tried to break up a fight between two other men at a home in the 100 block of Frank Street when he was slugged, and hit his head on the concrete driveway.
He subsequently died from head trauma.
A makeshift memorial of flowers and candles has appeared at the site.
A family man, Jones was respected in the community and witnesses told police he was acting a peacemaker.
