GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A man is behind bars after allegedly robbing two people at gunpoint in Green Bay early Saturday.
Police get the call to 1825 Western Avenue about 4:15 a.m. The victims, whose wallets were stolen, were able to give officers the license plate numbers of the suspect's vehicle.
An hour-and-a-half later, police found the vehicle behind a home on North Ashland Avenue in Green Bay. Inside the home, police arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Hearton.
Cops also found the victims' wallets and a handgun believed to have been used in the robbery.
The gun, police say, was a .40 caliber Glock reported stolen in Chicago. Police are recommending charges of armed robbery and receiving stolen property. The case remains under investigation.
