No Criminal Charges in Fatal UWGB Student Crash

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - The man whose trailer detached on Highway 41 in Brown County and slammed into another car killing a U-W Green Bay student won't face criminal charges. 

Officials with the State Patrol say they found no criminal negligence on the part of 59-year-old James McDermid. He previously was given two tickets in the April crash that killed Whitney Radder. 

McDermid's trailer detached and crossed the center line and hit the 19-year-old's car. He's due in court for the citations September 10.
