GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Green Bay police have arrested a man they think was involved in the robbery of the West Walnut Shell station last weekend.

Daryl Cornelius was arrested Thursday and is suspected in the incident, which also included an attack on the store's clerk.

Police say a woman was trying to buy two 12-packs of beer around 4 a.m. August 14. When the clerk told the woman that she could not buy beer at that time of day, she tried to leave the store. The clerk tried to stop the woman.

That’s when a man entered the store and struck the clerk from behind. Both the man and woman then attacked the clerk before running away with the beer. The clerk suffered minor injuries.

The woman remains on the loose. She was described as about 5’3” tall and around 200 pounds.
