WAUSAU (WRN) - A man arrested near Wausau has agreed to return to Minnesota to face an attempted murder charge in the Gopher State. 34-year-old Yer Thao of Brooklyn Center waived extradition at a court hearing Tuesday in Marathon County. He was arrested 8 days ago on Highway 51 west of Wausau, after authorities were alerted that Thao could be in that area. He’s accused of stabbing his wife and throwing her down a stairway, causing multiple injuries. Prosecutors said she escaped from a basement window, and was covered with blood when she asked a neighbor to help her.
