Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson on Parks & Rec, grew up in a small town called Minooka, IL. It's a suburb of Joliet. His dad was a teacher at the local high school. (I'm not sure if he still is). Mr. Offerman taught Social Studies. But, how cool would it have been if he taught Wood Shop?!
