What SONG was YOUR first dance to at your wedding? (Or want it to be?)
It seems like many people choose obvious songs, maybe because they feel pressured to pick a typical wedding song. The end result just feels unnatural. Ever been to one of those weddings? EX: A biker couple dancing to 'My Heart Will Go On'? Come on! At least pull out 'Patience.'
I was reminded this weekend, that my parents chose 'Reasons' by Earth, Wind and Fire, as their "First Dance song." It's a fine song, but it's a weird choice for my parents. They were rock/metal/punk fans. Why 'Reasons?' I've never heard them listen to that song in my life. I did ask why, and the response I got was, "Well, it was popular then." Great, but you don't like the song... ?
