Axl Rose is once again blaming Slash for the original GNR breaking up. He claims that Slash knew going out on the Use Your Illusion tour in '91 would be harmful to Axl's health. He apparently had some kind of medical issue, or wasn't at optimum health, and did not want to tour.
Axl says "Slash wanted the touring to get the better of me given my circumstances at the time. My safety and well-being were not [Slash's or Dave Niven's] concern.”
Are you serious? We're talking 1991. Slash was so messed up he didn't where he was half the time. I don't think he was sober enough to hatch an evil plan. I will say that Axl also blamed Dave Niven, their manager at the time, saying "Alan wanted money." I'm willing to entertain the idea that their manager could have pushed the band into a tour, even though Axl wasn't well enough.
