The title gives it away: X Men: Days Of Future Past. We no longer have to assume. Hugh Jackman confirmed the next installment will have a time travel component. We know we're getting Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, as well as Ian Kellen and Michael Fassbender.
Plus, any character from any time period can be brought back somewhere in the movie. It seems like that will be fully taken advantage of in this movie. Jackman said, "You wouldn't have enough room on the page after you've listed them all. Every other actor who's ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it."
The creators can pull this off, because their main character - Wolverine - doesn't really age. That fictional Adamantium that runs along his skeleton prevents damage. They explain more of it in X-Men Origins. For some other reason, the metal makes it difficult to assess his age. Fountain of youth? It's a made up metal. It can have any magical properties they want.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters in 2014. Before that, we'll get The Wolverine. In that movie, Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior.
