Ways You Get Ripped Off When It Comes to Technology

Regardless of the economy, the last thing you ever want to do is throw money away for no reason. But, you probably have without knowing it. People get ripped off on technology all the time.
One of the worst examples has to be when cell phone carriers try to charge you extra per month for GPS. If you have a droid or i-Phone, you get turn by turn directions for free. Why pay for something you already get for free?
As pointed out by Gizmodo:
"Android has Google Maps, arguably the leading service for turn-by-turn directions, mapping and points of interest. iOS' Apple Maps app still has issues, but it least it offers turn-by-turn directions for free. You can also download Google Maps from the App Store for free, which delivers spoken directions. Both Windows Phone (via Nokia Maps) and BlackBerry 10 come with their own free solutions."
