I'm still not sure how Dave Grohl ended up filling in as co-host for 'Chelsea Lately.' Although, the reason he gave during an interview was: 'Chelsea needed a week of binge drinking in London. So they called the second best binge drinker in town to fill in.' [Read his AMA chat HERE].

I think Dave Grohl should have his own show. He's funny. Dave knows all the coolest rockers! He could have a segment where he jams with whoever the musical guest is that night. If they don't have one, it can be him.
