Saturday, Roseville in northern California celebrated Sammy Hagar Day. Hagar was on hand to party and launch his new restaurant in the town. He also threw a big concert to benefit local charities.

“The downtown.. it’s got a historical feeling to it and it’s got soul,” explained Sammy. “I walk into so many cities that have torn the old town down and built brand new condos, and it’s soulless. It’s all generic-feeling stuff. And this place has a feeling and a vibe I thought we’ll put this island right in the middle of it and keep this community alive.”
