I saw this interview with Lemmy where he reflected on some of the things he's learned in life. He dropped some gems, which I'm paraphrasing below:

-Gentlemen still exist. He said this because Metallica halted recording Load to stop by his birthday party and play a set, years ago. 

-If you want to learn to play bass, do it on stage during a show. It'll be so loud, no one will notice your mistakes. That's how he learned. 

-"Nothing kills a relationship like commitment." - direct quote.
